Global eTrade Services wins coveted business award

Singapore, 1 July 2020 –Global eTrade Services (GeTS), a global trade platform company, has won the Singapore Business Review (SBR) Asian Business Case Studies Awards 2020, under the category of “ePayment Case Study of the Year”, facilitated through CALISTA Insights, a module under CALISTA, a global supply chain orchestration platform.

Over the years, SBR has been identifying exceptional business solution providers in Asia and lauded them at the SBR Business Case Studies Awards. Entries are judged on the criteria of uniqueness and innovation, effectiveness and impact, dynamism and client feedback.

CALISTA Insights is a middleware solution that sets out to improve data visibility to ease real-time transactions across the world, to produce scalable solutions and innovation.

CALISTA Insights has several payment partners including MoolahGo, Thunes, and Shuttle One. They use the platform to enhance their know your business (KYB) processes for verifying payment transactions, which is otherwise a manual, time-consuming one.

The platform uses more than 130 trade-specific fields for data modelling and analytics. It provides transaction-level data, as well as visibility on trade activity, so as to track the start and end-points of trade transactions for which payment is made. The cross-border transfer of funds performed by the business entities is thus verifiable, through the use of their data on imports and exports.

Customers will receive notification when a payment has reached the beneficiary. They are able to also follow up on their transactions “live”. This enables real-time information flow, which is crucial for time-sensitive environments. It ultimately helps in the timely release of warehouse space, goods, and services for logistic companies.

Chong Kok Keong CEO of GeTS, said: “We are really honoured that CALISTA Insights has received industry recognition in the form of the SBR Asian Business Case Studies Award. This gives us the confidence to step up on our mission of powering global trade connectivity by making trade more accessible, predictable and easier to fulfil”
