About ACI Ocean

GeTS ACI Ocean is an industry leading service that allows marine carriers, freight forwarders and related participants to submit cargo and conveyance data electronically to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) via Advance Commercial Information (ACI).

Canada’s ACI Ocean rule requires marine carriers and freight agents to electronically transmit marine cargo data to the CBSA 24 hours prior to loading cargo. ACI Ocean improves the collection and evaluation of pre-arrival cargo and conveyance data by allowing manifest data to be reviewed before the cargo arrives. Customs officials can better identify high-risk goods while facilitating the movement of legitimate shipments and easing port congestion.

GeTS’ ACI Ocean streamlines marine customs processing and compliance with CBSA regulations. The service further value-adds by providing for clients multiple subscription plans and connectivity options, bundled with 24/7 customer support.

The easy-to use application is available as a web application or integrated with existing systems. GeTS can also file ocean eManifest data on your behalf. All ACI Ocean solutions features automatic validation, report generation, an electronic messaging system for carriers to transmit Conveyance Arrival Certification Messages (CACM), status notifications, and 24/7 expert assistance via chat and email.
