About Release Notification System (RNS)

GeTS’ Release Notification System (RNS) Warehouse Arrival Certification Message (WACM) application combines the functionality of release status updates, shipment arrivals, CBSA Notices, and Manifest Forward. Many enhanced features are available for easy data entry, such as CSV upload feature and Email or SMS alerts for responses received from the Canada Border Services Agency’s (CBSA). These alerts are communicated directly to the filer.

CBSA-licensed sufferance warehouses are required to transmit WACM to the CBSA on arrival of unreleased inland cargo. Warehouse operators report WACM using Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) to notify CBSA of the arrival of commercial shipments. CBSA will advise whether the goods have been released or referred for examination.

Sufferance Warehouse operators benefit from connectivity to RNS, WACM, CBSA Notices, and Manifest Forward. Inbound shipments with sublocation code are sent ahead via Manifest Forward when agents complete their eManifest filing.
